Special theme topics include any research dealing with psychological and\/or educational aspects of diagrams, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>\u2013 cognitive aspects of diagrams and diagrammatic thinking,<br>\u2013 comprehension of diagrams,<br>\u2013 construction and use of diagrams,<br>\u2013 diagrams and wayfinding,<br>\u2013 diagrams as learning and pedagogical tools,<br>\u2013 diagrams in the mind,<br>\u2013 diagrams in communication,<br>\u2013 human perception and the design of diagrams,<br>\u2013 individual differences in diagram use,<br>\u2013 mental imagery and mental animation,<br>\u2013 problem solving with diagrams,<br>\u2013 reasoning with diagrams from a psychological or educational perspective,<br>\u2013 sociocultural interpretations of diagrams,<br>\u2013 spatial structure of diagrams,<br>\u2013 students\u2019 use or misuse of diagrams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the Psychology &amp; Education track, Diagrams 2024 will have two further tracks: Main, and Philosophy. If the main research contribution of your submission is considered to fit either of the other tracks then you are strongly encouraged to submit to the respective special track, each of which has a dedicated program committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>****************************************************************************<br><strong>Submission Categories<\/strong><br><br>We invite submissions for peer review that focus on any aspect of diagrams research, as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Long Papers (16 pages)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Short Papers (8 pages)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Posters (4 pages \u2013 this is both a maximum and minimum requirement)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Abstracts, i.e. non-archival contributions (3 pages)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Details for all submission categories and formatting guidelines and requirements can be found at: <a href=\"https:\/\/diagrams-2024.diagrams-conference.org\/?page_id=61\">Submission Page<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Long Papers, Short Papers and Posters will be published in the proceedings. Abstracts will not be included in the published proceedings but will be made available on the conference web site. Abstracts allow for conference presentations without the need to publish a paper.
